Lisa earned her Ph.D. in Literacy Education from the University of Minnesota in 2015. Before that she taught High School English and was a K-12 Literacy/Instructional Coach in the twin cities. During her sabbatical in 2024-25 she worked in an elementary school doing reading intervention.
